Prior to the coating process, the rope is chemically modified to improve the bond strength of the PTFE to the stainless steel surface, so it doesn’t peel off. The outer-casing liner PTFE gives the brake cable excellent, long-lasting, ultra-low friction characteristics, while also improving the environmental protection of the wire, eliminating corrosion.
